I'm wondering if it would make sense to put my IRD number on my CV? In America, I'd never put my social security number on my resume- too much identity theft. But I'm not sure if an IRD number is used the same way. The only reason I'd want to is just to let employers know we are serious about coming and ready to begin work as soon as we are there.

No need to add the IRD# I would say. I would state your residency status in your CV and be sure and metion both that as well as the date you are arriving in your cover letter.

January is going to be a tough time for job hunting, everything shuts down then. Things will pick up slowly late in January and gather speed through Feb into March. You may get some interest now since you have firm dates and your visa sorted out so by all means apply. It will depend a lot though on what area you are looking in. Some areas are more desperate for staff than others.

Good luck!

I wouldn't put it on. On the IRD website it says to keep it confidential:
