Our house is being packaged up by a very proffesional and friendly James Mason crew.

We have our fallback room with all our belongings to tide us over for uk and NZ - the house echoes to the sound of sticky tape and packing paper.

Not forgetting the odd bit of singing to the radio !

We finally exchanged contracts last Friday. Completion is set for this Wednesday.

We were lucky to sell privately - thanks to a friendly neighbour who happened to know someone!

Flights booked for the 30th.......Christchurch here we come.
:cheers

Great to see you are on your way. :nice1

We have John Mason's booked for the 28th as long as contracts on the house are exchanged in time.

Heading for Christchurch in January, we decided to hold out in the UK for a couple of months plus we get to spend Christmas with the family.

Maybe we’ll see you there.....

We had ours packed up yesterday and today (John Mason as well), I'm happy to report it all fit into the 20ft container, but equally happy to say I wasn't there to see it, I'd have been too upset. But apparently they made a work of art a la Christo out of our rocking chair, which still rocked even after being wrapped up :)

The container starts its journey on Friday, and is supposed to be in Auckland on the 10th of November. I'll keep you posted...

Good luck everyone else for your stuff's journey!
