When I fill in my Work Permit application form (assuming that I can find a job!) it asks for "Evidence that you are suitably qualified by training or experience to do the job you have been offered".
Does this just mean references from previous employers plus copies of any professional qualifications etc?
Thanks...

Yes anything along those lines, we also included pay slips, p60 and any evidence you can get your hands on.

My OH was self-employed. We got hold of all docs relating to registration of trade bodies, letters from customers & old trade accounts going back years. Ditto to above, anything you can get your hands on.

I had my previous employer send a signed letter on letterhead stating the dates of my employment and job title, as well as a copy of my university transcript which showed my degree awarded.
