We'll be going to Waiheke to celebrate a birthday and would like to find somewhere to stay that's a little bit special with maybe a hot tub or pool or very close to a beach etc.

However, the hard part is that we are going with the 3 kids (6,4 & 1) so we are also looking for somewhere family friendly, close to shops - not too many hills as we will have a buggy!

Boutique style probably wouldn't suit us as I'm sure all those honeymooning couples wouldn't appreciate 3 boys running around the place. But other than that we don't mind if its a hotel or self catering.

Any suggestions?

By the way I did find this place for when we win the lottery:

I definitely recognise one famous name under their guest comments!

Cheers

Check out Waiheke Island Resort Tia, I went there for work the other day (hard life, but someone's gotta do it;) ) and it was lovely.

If you weren't taking the children, I'd recommend The Boatshed. Beautiful place and perfect for chilling out and unwinding.
I'm liking the look of Delamore Lodge - I've sent the link to my boyfriend as a hint...

Ahh yes I saw the Boatshed got good reviews, maybe when the kids are all grown up, well at least 5!

Gil, I'd seen this place but had been put off by the tripadvisor reviews that said it was up a hill and full of noisy conference people - were you one of them? :p

Milliemoo - they have to sleep sometime! ;)
