Well, the kitties fly on the 13th (all FOUR of them!) :clap and we leave LAX on the 18th (arriving in Welly on the 20th).
Right now I feel deliriously tired and overwhelmed with DETAILS!
Tomorrow we finally load the container. I'll be glad to see it go!!
We've already had three goodbye parties (two with family, one with friends).
Condo hasn't sold yet....somehow we are still able to hemorrhage money!! :uhoh
Two cars sold, one more to go (daughter's).
I'm trying to "let go" of the need to make lists, but sheeze, it's a hard habit to break! I have sticky notes all over the (empty) house!
At this point we are feeling that we must be totally nuts to do this...then after a couple glasses of chenin blanc, it seems that all shall be well.
:raebanana
See you on the NZ side of the world in a few days!!
Whoohooo!

Christine,
Congrats and getting this far, I can only imagine how you are feeling as I am not there yet...and its stressful enough!! I hope loading the container goes ok, and you manage to sort out all of your 'sticky notes'!!!
Have a safe flight, and we wish you lots of luck in your new life

All the best for the journey Christine, try to relax, have a few deep breaths, and if that doesn't work open another bottle of wine.

It's probably the worst, and the most exciting time. So stressful. But you'll get there. See you on the other side!

Have a safe flight. Try a grab an empty row so you can relax on the flight. You're almost there!

Aw, you guys, I really needed this boost after a long, hard day...:yes container is gone and OH is off to a goodbye party without me. :cheers This evening I've decided to prop my feet up on the air mattress instead!
Still lots to do and people to see before we go.....This will likely be my last post until we arrive in NZ. Yippeee :raebanana
Thanks for all the well-wishes and support, everyone!
:cheers

I know how you feel. There are so many decisions to make, and you feel like you have it all sorted out but then find dozens of little things that haven't been completely tied up. I hope your kitties handle the move ok.
Good luck, and have fun! We'll be leaving a day after you, so we are anxious and excited as well!

Bon voyage, Christine, Nathan and family --
P.S. When you get to Welly and hit PakNSave or New World for your first grocery run, scoop up some Bhuja Hot Mix (from the bulk food section) to go with a celebratory glass of wine. Appears to be safe for vegetarians and is very tasty!
