Howdy All, Barbara here from Texas. I'll be coming over for a visit in just a few days with OH, starting in Auckland and working our way down. We've never been to NZ but kinda had this dream... I'm sure some of you know the dream.
Sounds like there's folks who do the research, and then the application. We did the application, and now the research. We have PR in hand, believe it or not, so it's a matter of where to set down and when to pull up roots on this end.
Please PM me if anyone in Napier/Hawke's Bay area would like to meet up on Sept 17 or 18 - coffee's on me, beer, tea, whatever. I have been earning a living in Texas as a printmaker. See www.bfranklet.com. Yes, there's more here than cows and the oil business. So I'd love to talk to any artists out there, people with kiddos (I have 2, elementary age). Info on schools and kid issues will be key to sort out. Of course, real estate topics - gotta live somewhere. I've been looking at the websites - I can't figure the difference between Tender, Offers, Negotiation etc. Any recent immigrants to bounce ideas off on that whole process.
