We went and had a look at a supposed 4 bed house in Stanley Point today (just up the road from Devonport), it is actually three bedrooms with anther room downstairs with no apparent description available for it other than another bedroom! Good looking property from the outside, small garden, on for (wait for it, maniacl laughing) NZ$979k!! :eek When I mentioned the relatively snmall size of the house for our needs, the agent took us on a flying trip to another house round the corner, slightly bigger, asking price a cool million!!! :eek :eek :eek . I think Devonport estate agents listen out for the British accent and, when they hear it, dollar signs fill their senses.

Beach Kiwi, you haven't mentioned Belmont, Bayswater or Cheltenham, or are these classed as Devonport!

Yes, as most people refer to that part of the 'peninsula' as Devonport.

THanks BK. ;) Where/how did you get this ranking? I am aiming to get a flat/house around Milford as I will be reporting in Smales Farm or anywhere round that area with not more than 20 mins drive to and fro. Davenport is a bit far from the place but it would really be nice there as I already been there.
