I finally sent my NZQA Application on its way today, courtesy of FedEx... I didn't trust Royal Mail to safely deliver my certificates, and I wanted the reassurance of a tracking system, but they guarantee delivery in Wellington by Thursday 6pm.

I hadn't realised that I needed a full NZQA assessment, since my degree is on the list (Open University), and it took me ages to get all the paperwork together! I have a long and varied employment history (I've been an IT contractor for almost 10 years), and simply gathering all the documentary evidence of my career was a mammoth activity. Then my qualification was complex too, as it was partly made up of a part-time degree which I failed, and transferred credits across... my application, along with the requisite photocopy of everything, weighed 1.3kg!!!

Now I just hope that it comes back OK - and in time, as my ITA submission deadline is November 1st.... I've chosen the NZQA Fast-track option (more bucks!!), so I'm hoping it comes back in time....

It's nice to get a big piece of paperwork out of the way though :-)

I am sure you will get it back in time. fastrack worked for us. Ours took under 4 weeks. Good luck.

Thanks folks! I guess if it doesn't come back in time, I will just explain that to the Immigration people, and ask for a delay in submitting the ITA.

Now for the rest of the paperwork....

Nice feeling isn't it. Although it's a bit nerve-wracking waiting for the result.

Fast track worked for us.......except for DHL being useless. Got it all back in plenty of time though.
