Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with this. I have posted before along the lines of this, but am hoping you guys can clarify things for me.

Basically we want to claim 10 points for work experience in an area of absolute shortage. This would come under one of the ICT categories but which one?

He isn't in IT along the lines of programmer etc, he is in mobile communications, job is a bit above my head, but is more about computers than phones. (He works for Vodafone in network management, all firewalls and network security).

However his qualification is in Electronic engineering ie telephone eng. Will the NZQA assess his work experience with Vodafone which is approx 9 years and covers many in house and other suppliers courses? If so does anyone know if this is likely to be under one of the ICT categories?

Also, can you give me a ball park figure of cost for a full assessment?

I've just submitted my application for a full assessment, and with the FastTrack option, and courier delivery back to me, it came to $636NZ. Of that, $150 was for the fast track. Hope this helps,

It sounds like ICT Network Engineer/Management. Best bet is to e-mail NZQA for further clarification. They are very helpful. I've had to call them a couple of times and they are brilliant.
