I thought I was dreaming when I came home work today and saw an 8"x11" brown envelope from the FBI.

a) I sent away for FBI background clearance on Sept 1st. (That's when it left Wellington).
b) I sent my mail from Welly via international priority for a 5 day delivery.
c) It was delivered/arrived @ the FBI, West Virgina office on Sept 7th
d) The date stamp on my FBI check says "Sept 12th, 2007".
e) Received by me on Sept 19 (today)

That's a FIVE day processing time!!!!!!! Holy S**T! Granted I wrote them a standard letter asking them to expedite it, but damm they are good! Has anyone else has such a fast turn around time with the FBI from sooooo far away (as in from NZ!?)

I give the FBI a big round of applause for that. They have impressed me big time!! I'd like to hear your stories like this...or am the only one with good luck with the FBI?

cheers....

Surprised?

They knew it was coming. It seems someone was in a good mood and said to his FBI collegue: "Hey Pete (I asume it was Pete), there's a letter coming from Wellington for a background clearance within the next few days. Give'm a break and prepare it for them so they can have it by yesterday".

Well, that last one didn't work out quite well, but I'm sure they're working on it...:exit :laugh
