Can anyone help me !!??
My Poor brother and his family are currently in NZ and are going through the Immigration Process under the Family sponsorship category. They are also applying for Work Permits, while waiting for their PR to go through as they both have jobs waiting with Employers desperate to take them on.
They sent all their paperwork to ChCh weeks ago and they had a phonecall from an ALISON HILL saying she was their case manager and they would be hearing on a decision within 2 weeks.
Wait for it .......!
After waiting 2 weeks and not hearing anything they rung up ChCh and explained the situation to them only for them to be told that they have never heard of this woman, and she can't be their case manager because their paperwork is still sitting on their desk UNOPENED (!)
And it is now apparently being couriered to Palmerston North (who we have originally been told, only deal with Student Visas !)
They have now been informed that they will become overstayers, as it won't even be looked at for at least another 3 months - which is a bit rich considering they are the ones that c*cked it up !!
So, If anyone has ever dealt with Alison HIll Please please please let me know as she is apparently a figment of our Imagination !!!

IMMIGRATION ......DON'T YA JUST LOVE EM !!??

Allison Hill was our case officer for PR at Christchurch. I found her to be very good and after submitting the ITA we had PR after three weeks. I had to email her with a couple of queries during the process and she was prompt with her replies. I am posting from work, but when I am home I will see if I can find her email address.

It's good to read positive stuff when people are named personally like this.
It always leaves me a bit uncomfortable when negatives are placed without the person being able to defend themselves.

I'm not in actual fact saying anything negative at all about the above person.
In my opinion, at least she rung my brother to let him know his application was being proccessed.
Im talking about the people at NZIS (nameless - mighten I add ) who are denying all knowledge that she even works there. Going by Wilsons reply I think that gives me enough reason to be angry at the incompetent way Immigration deal with 'some' cases when, quite clearly she does work there !

Maybe you were lucky and your EOI was dealt with in a swift and easy manner but when you have been pushed from pillar to post for the last 4 years. (They were just as useless with my, and my sisters application) NZIS may go down in your estimation too.
I'm sure there are plenty of people on this Forum feel the same way as me, after all, isn't that one of the reasons why people post on here so much, because they are often getting conflicting answers from NZIS.

Fair enough, she can't defend herself , but when she supposedly doesn't even exist ................How can she ....?

Thankyou to Wilson for e-mail :)

I have to agree with Wilson, Alison was our Case Officer and was brilliant. She had our PR sorted within 3 weeks and always replied to our emails prompt, even on her return from her holidays. She was always reachable on the phone too.
