Well that's my first contract job come to an end so back on the scrap heap again.

The bloke I was working for is confident he will be able to offer more work (and at a better rate) soon, but in the meantime its all eye's on Seek etc.

It happens to be timed well as it's school hols for two weeks so I can 'enjoy' the kids snapping at my ankles for a fortnight (can you fell my joy?)

In the meantime I'm going to study for and get certified in ITIL so I won't be bored.

Sam, I guess you'll just have to content yourself with the warmer weather and go looking for jobs in such awful places as Tauranga and Raglan ;) (kids in tow mind.....)

Good luck in your job search, the packing has started in earnest here for the impending move :nice1

Join the 'Seek'ers. Seems I spend more time on Seek than eating these days.

Hope you find something soon.

Hi BBB. Would it help if I gave you one of the bananas back?

Banana away. Don't really need cheering up, a few weeks off is nothing to whinge about, as long as it doesn't last......

A few extra pence on Big Wednesday this week me thinks, then work might become just an unpleasant memory.....

It's okay I have lots of jobs planned for him over the next couple of weeks. He'll probably wish he was back at work. ;)

Having the kids at home most days will keep me, erm, entertained (?) and completing my ITL training will fill up the next fortnight. After that it will get a bit more difficult.

It seems the job front has been very quiet around these parts in the last month (not that it ever gets into a frenzy) but it looks like it might just be picking up a little. There a few on Seek worth a little further investigation.

If the work comes in that my former boss is trying to secure then that should keep me happy well into next year at least and (hopefully) provide the opportunity to squirrel a bit away into a savings account so that if I continue contracting/self employed then I can afford the odd break/holiday.

All pie in the sky until it comes in for real though. Oh, I said pie.....back in a bit........
