Hi there
Just wanted to say hi to all, sure you will all seem very familiar soon...... Hubby in Auckland right now (flight delayed) with a high probability of a job offer so everything starting to seem real now. Need to start the process of applications etc and not really sure where to start and which is best/quickest process. Very scared of what this all means for leaving family and friends (random crying) but sure that NZ is where it is at!!!!!

Welcome. Always hard to make the dicision to go, but once made, get cracking on the paperwork. It's a long and frustrating flog, but worth it if you have a dream.
What's the worst that could happen? You go for it and it doesn't work out? How many people do you know that say "I wish I'd at least given it a go"?

Hi MSWatkins, welcome!
You want the fasttrack? I'm not sure about all your alternatives, because I'm from the Netherlands. But I only recently learned that it also depends on the kind of jobs, even if they are on a shortlist. And a joboffer certainly is part of the fasttrack.
Probably others could give you better advice on particular British matters.
Good luck with your journey.
Cheers, John Z.

Welcome to the forum, if you get a job offer that certainly gets you to the front of the queue, or certainly helps.
Got to the innigration website (www.immigration.govt.nz I think) and do the online EOI check. Depends on which route you want to take but you can do the work permit and apply for residence once (if) you settled here, or go straight for the permanent residence route. Depends on your circumstances.
Good luck, if you in any doubt there are always plenty who will help you on here.

Wow you are all so nice (I had heard a rumour - Gil - but now I know for sure) I am a bit worried if it takes forever I might lose my nerve!!! Anyhow can't wait to get asking LOADS of questions and finding out how wonderful it is there. Am hoping to come over in November to do a 'yes this place is amazing' check so suggestions of cool places to visit would be appreciated. Thanks for the support :nice1

If you think you might lose your nerve the quickest way is a work permit, London process them in days!!! Once we made the decision we were back in NZ in under 8 weeks and we love it.
