Hi My OH and I have mad the mental move and now we are busy with the logistics to get to NZ - any advise on what not to do or do would be awsome :raebanana : We need to move 2 kids, 1 dog (my baby) - find a place to live, school.......

Thanks for the welcome - We dont know yet but it looks like Auckland area - we have been advised to look at Whitford, Dannimore, Howick and Karraka - but at this point I am clueless:D ......LOL but working my fingers to the bone on the net

Not from SA, but just about to submit my EOI (if I can actually log in to the INZ site, that is) and the cost is now $400 (online) - costs went up on 30 July - details here (http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/general/generalinformation/news/feeschanges.htm).

Me neither - and I was planning to submit my EOI this evening :(

Start working on the dog straight away. Figure out what you need (once NZIS site is up--also check out the MAF site). In some places you need to start getting tests done 6 months in advance. SA has a long quarantine period for dogs I think. I think quite a lot of the information for that is linked on the home page for this forum.

I've kept a notebook with all the helpful links and tips I've "recieved" from listmates in the past 9 mos - shipping animals, kennels for quarantine of pets, banned goods when packing/shipping, shipping companies, neighbourhoods, real estate/purchasing, restaraunts, schools, travel agents, short-term housing, airlines, etc - it's all here!
