I couriered mine across last week, and received confirmation from FedEx that they arrived on Wednesday. Still no email from NZQA though...

My application was received on 10/7/7 and the money was debited off my credit card, I have been given a case officer and an application number but have not heard a thing since!
Didn't fast track, which seems to have been a mistake!

I just sent my documents Fedex last Thursday. Since I have no work history, I just got my BA in June, I don't have nearly as much documentation as some people have to send. But I also talked to NZQA and was informed that whether or not you fast-track they randomly select 10% of applications for verification as well as all applications for teacher registration. If they decide to verify yours the current wait time is 4 months! I have my fingers crossed since I need the assessment back by November at the latest to recieve an offer of place at U of Auckland.

akp713 - does that mean that 90% don't even get looked at???? Or is verification something else????
I had masses of documentation. My degree was complicated, since it was part done on day release, then transferred credits to OU. My work history was just as bad, since I have been contracting for the past 10 years, and I supplied copies of each of my contracts (usually only run for 3 months at a time). The 'brick' of paperwork weighed 1.3kg, and I can imagine the horror of whoever has to sift through my application....

No, no, no, verification means they don't accept that your documents are all real at face value and start ringing up everybody who provided you a document, employers and universities etc. Then there can be an extra charge as well if the school you attended charges NZQA for verifying that the document is indeed real. For 90% of the applicants the documentation is accepted as being real unless they look dodgy for some reason. In other words you do not want them to do verification because it could add months onto the application process. Also be aware that all applicants for Teacher Registration will be sent for verification so be ready for a lengthy wait, fast-tracking does nothing if they decide to verify the documents.

Yes, and that was not the date I sent it that was the date they confirmed it had been registered! I sent it a week before that date.
A bit of a waiting game I'm afraid.
