Hi All,
We start our info seeking mission on Friday:clap What I was wondering is whether anyone knows of a childcare centre or rec centre that would take the girls (5 and 8) for a day if we wanted to visit properties. The week we are in Nelson is the first week of term so holiday programmes are out. Equally we wouldn't want to put them in seperately in a strange place so if anyone know of anyone we could contact (centre or registered child minder) or how we can get this info that would be great.
Thanks
Gina
PS it would only be 1 day we are not that mean!!!:laugh

Most playcentres etc only take kids up to 6. Found this one that takes kids to age 8:
Kiwi Kids Childcare, 625 Main Rd, Stoke, Ministry of Elim Christian Centre. (03) 547 9003. No idea how full they are as kindy's etc seem pretty full around here.

Alternatively try www.homegrownkids.co.nz who seem to be home based childminder type people - not sure if they'd have anyone to help for just a day though. Also kidstart.co.nz.

Good luck. We've recently moved to the area so ask if there's anything else you'd like to know. Can't guarantee I know the answers as we're still finding our feet but I may do.

That is so useful, it may be that we can only put the younger one, she would be more of a handful if we were visiting a house etc but less likely to want to stay somewhere without us. We shall see how we go. The one up to 8 might be a bonus, but like you say who knows how full they are.
Thanks again.
Gina
