Hiya,

Getting more and more nervous/excited. The day that we are getting on the plane is starting to feel real close (ah well, "only" 6 weeks (30 working days!!!) to go :cheers).

We'll be arriving in Auckland early in the morning (6:50am) and our plan is to head straight for a hotel and just sleep. We'll need it after leaving Dublin on Saturday at 9:45am only to arrive in Auckland on Monday morning. I know I will be utterly, completely, shattered as, knowing myself, I won't sleep the night before the flight (might take a sleeping pill for the first time in my life!).

Any recommendation wrt hotels? Something nice and central. Close to some restaurants/pubs in downtown Auckland would be nice. Does not have to be dirt cheap, a good location and friendly service are more important when we arrive all wrecked.

Also, are hotels difficult about people checking in very early or are we simply going have to dig in our pockets and pay for two nights? Anybody been in the same situation?
