I still own a flat back in Scotland which I rent out.
My current insurers (Abbey - who also have my mortgage) have just informed me on a three year limit for their insurance policies covering absentee landlords - which means mines is about to run out. Does anyone have any recommendations for UK insurance companies that are happy with absentee landlords insuring properties in the UK? I've looked at a few of the big-name web sites, but they all seem to require a UK correspondence address and I can't get past the blasted post-code field they all demand now :wah

We are with the NFU Mutual, you could try them.

Just a suggestion Dougie... do you have a friend or family member who would let you use their address for correspondence? It might get you passed the postcode field on-line.

Good luck getting it sorted,
Anneliese
