Just looking for thoughts on ski towns on the S Island. As we will be moving at the end of our ski season and the beginning of NZ's, we are thinking we would like to do a season at a small resort on the SI before settling around Nelson/Marlborough (did Queenstown 2 years ago and want something different this time). Any thoughts?

really in the south island towns near ski resorts you can only go Queenstown, Wanaka, Methven or Hamner/lyford. There are also a couple of really small ones around Tekapo/Fairley too. try looking on www.snow.co.nz
