HELP - I've googled this with little success, links to pages that are just not giving the information i want!

Where can I find a list of road closures, or basically check to see if State hughway one, around Ruahepu is open or not, we are driving up to Auckland on Friday lunchtime, and i want to be able check its open before we set off, otherwise we will have to do some major detours!

Any links folks?

The road you are interested in is called the Desert road and its status can be found on several websites including the AA roadwatch.

Thanks for those links :nice1 - I had found some of them, but was expecting to see more information - (used to the uk's AA roadwatch where the lists were always endless!!!!:no )

Will keep checking them between now and Friday.
