Great news, we have also been selected today :clap and just by the skin of our teeth as the 6 month mark was next week!! Congratulations to all of you that were also selected!

I just want a bit of advice if someone can help us out, we are flying out to NZ next Wednesday as we were worried that we wouldn't be selected so decided to go the job hunting route - do you think the initial checks will involve phoning us? Just a bit worried because if it does they won't be able to get hold of us on the numbers we supplied..any suggestions?

Congratulations on being selected.

It is very unlikely that they will phone you this soon, they only normally phone for an interview at the final stage (and then only if no job offer).

If you are worried, do you have an answer phone? These can normally be called remotely to check on any messages. If you don't, then consider buying one as they will also work in NZ.

Hey Rinkydink well done!! Have no idea if NZIS will phone you we're still at ITA stage but maybe you could ask for email contact and set-up hotmail or yahoo account??

Wouldn't worry too much. I haven't heard of anyone being called except for at the very final stages of ITA for interview.

NZIS are VERY slow at everything (hairpullingoutingly slow - I grew some specially to pull it out again) so go, enjoy, try not to worry (easier said than done)
