Can anyone tell me how to Contact NZIS in London ? I feel an error on my part in describing a qualification may lead to a delay in an ITA being issued.

four or five of the people on here yesterday got issued with an ITA with exactly the same circumstances as me, but we've not been issued yet.

i need to contact them as a matter of urgency to explain the discrepancy in naming of qualifications between the UK and EIRE. where basically two difference value quals are named the same ... and i have the higher one and they (i think) think i have the lower.

You can call them on 09069 100 100 but be warned that they charge £1 a minute!

Hi RamblingPaddies,

Not sure if you've already attempted the call to INZ or not, but have you done a search on this forum for this yet ? I believe some people found an international number that they called (omitting the international code of course) for a regular rate, might be worth looking into ?

Also regarding their view on people checking on the status of EOI, just tread carefully and you should be okay. You do after all have a legitimate reason for calling with the potential misunderstanding of the qualification. Just explain the situation and ask their advice as to how to proceed ? I would think they could hardly take offence to that.

Good luck !

Ah, found the recent thread I was thinking of (see SarahJones's post): http://www.emigratenz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13737&highlight=international+number

Hope this helps...

thanks for that silver. the UK number is only for Uk (obviously) - you can't call it from ireland so i reckon i'll give the NZ one a go ... 7 am to 7pm NZ time

thats 8pm to 8am over here or am i messing up my summer time ? ;)

So sorry, that's what happens when you're in a hurry to lend a hand and don't read the thread through properly :o.

The one I meant apparently doesn't exist anymore, I guess they caught on to that eh ;) ?

Anyway, doesn't help you much, now the only alternative seems to be a number in NZ :(. Would that be cheaper than a pound per minute ? If it is, I guess it's still a better option.

As far as I can calculate, you're spot on with your timing. We don't change to summer time until the 30th of September.

Good luck,
Silver

Just from our own experience. We did phone NZIS with query as to status of our EOI selection and basically got through to a call centre. We got different information both times - one saying ITA is on the way and another saying there is a backlog. The second contact did say fax in your query and we will respond in 7 days so I wonder if that's a better (and cheaper) option for you? We did that and received ITA next day! Not sure if the fax had anything to do with it or just lucky?! Think fax number is somewhere on timings page in NZIS London website - hope this helps.

A word of warning the expo can be vey very busy and the line of people waiitng to see them huge. Do you mean the london expo? You could pop into New Zealand house if thats the case.
You may be just have a busy Case officer rather than them being confused over you qualifications. i have an email somewhere, but it think its on my work PC. will pm you it tomorrow

Good luck
