Am sure this has been asked but my searching is rubbish. In terms of points claimed on EOI for qualifications can you withdraw those points from your ITA? That's not so clear so I'll explain, OH has had all his qualifications cleared with his registering body for work and we have paperwork etc so that's fine. However, we claimed points on the EOI for my qualifications as they were on the approved list but didn't go down the NZQA route as am not principal applicant and seemed like a lot of cash. So if we just submit ITA with copies of my qualifications but no NZQA will it be knocked back? Don't want to delay processing of ITA by having to do NZQA thing as we have enough points without my qualifications. Hope that makes sense and as you can see from my ramblings I clearly need help! :uhoh
Thanks
Karen

Hi Karen

We were in the same position my qualification was on the approved list as so we didn't bother to get NZQA approval. We had no problems, as long as you qualification is on the approved list as I understand it you should be fine.

Also, just remembered, if they assess you ITA and don't except you qualification if shouldn't delay the process if you have enough points, they will just right to you deducting those points off. Hope that all makes sense!!

Ok If OH has put quals on EOI and on the notes it said no need to have NZQA and it is level 7, yet on the acutal EOI I put in quals and it said points not scored (even though they added on to total) unless NZQA!!!!

And another thing - how confusing is the family bit (unless it is just me) they ask for dependents (2 kids) then ask for list of family up to 5 members (but not necessarily being included on EOI as can only add kids and partner) - all ok. I added on me plus additional extended OH family as I think thats what they were asking for (?) but later they asked for all details on kids but not on me?????? I am so confused forget 2hours to fill in how about 2 weeks......:uhoh Should I be filling in a seperate form for me??

OK yes was being and bit slow (or fast possibly so fast I missed a bit), somehow I have gone back into the EOI and have found a whole host of pages that somehow I haven't seen before and guess what I have now appeared as a whole list of questions (oh joy) still none the wiser about the qualifications though!!

Not sure if I've understand you right but if the qualification is on the recognised list and you answer yes to question below you should get the points???

F3a. Is this qualification included on the List of Recognised Qualifications?
Or has an Occupational Registration Body assessed your qualification as comparable to a New Zealand qualification that is on the List of Recognised Qualifications?

Well I responded yes to F3a but no to F4a as his qualifications haven't been assessed!! But as I said on the front of the form it has given him the 50 points????? Aaaahhhhh just read this again and it says F3a AND F4a - guess that might have something to do with it perhaps!!!:roll

Ok really need to go to bed now this is all getting too much for my small brain........:exit

Hi there
Some one here told me that if you do not have job offer, you need to assess your qualification, no matter if your qualification is on the List of Recognised Qualifications.
It is also recomended that you go for Full assessment, i.e. you have to pay 450 NZ$, but this will help you alot, specially when are in New Zealand.
I think the Immigration process of NZ is much better than Australia, Canada etc.
Just follow their direction, every thing will go smoothly...
After reading and research, I found that New Zealand need
1. Skilled people (with job offer, or NZQA)
2. Heathy people ( over weight, 38" bally, BMI over 30, high LDL all could be problem.
3. and they need it urgently. (If your case is straight forward, you will be straight forward to NZ --IT IS THAT SIMPLE--)

Take care and hope this can help
