Just had our medicals today, yikes so expensive.
X-rays were done at BUPA Murrayfield (sorry Milliemoo did not see your post in time plus had all kiddiewinks with us). The admin staff were very snippy and tried to over charge us, 4 x-rays at 70.50, they charged us £300 instead of £282. The medical staff were really nice and friendly though.
We had our medicals done at Tollcross Healthcentre for £80 for two adults + £45 each for three children + £20 each for two blood tests. £335 altogether. Dr Samantha Foster who did the medicals was really nice, very friendly and approachable with the kids who are 14 12 and 4. It was a very quick exam, and we did not even have to touch my toes (I was quite disapointed as I have been practising for weeks). We just had lie down and be prodded for a bit then have my knees, elbows and ankles tapped with a hammer and have blood pressure taken. Oh and pee in a little sample tube, which Callum then had to go around and tell the whole reception area about. I also wish they made it a bit easier for us women, give us a larger sample tube, you guys have it so easy just point and go.
Every thing was OK, just need to wait for the blood tests now. We did discover that Niall our eldest has an azygous fissure on his right lung, which apparently is a normal variant!
I would recommend using Dr Foster if any one is interested. But double check your bill from BUPA at Murrayfield.
