Hello There,
I understand that:

1). If you have got an international car license, you can drive in NZ for 12 months without needing a NZ (Class 1)License &

2). If you have a license from UK/USA (some other EU countries too), you only have to sit in the theory test and you get a FULL Class 1 Motor Car License if you pass i.e no need for a practical test.

Can someone confirm the above???????????

And most importantly if the above two points also hold fro a Motor Bike, if you hold an international Motor Bike License i.e you can drive for 12 months without needing a NZ Class 6 (Motor Bike) license.

I assume you mean an international driving permit, and yes if you have one then you can drive for up to 12 months.

You only need to sit the theory test if you don't come from the following countries:-

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or the United States of America.

You also need a current driving license and have held it for at least two years.

AFAIK, the rules are exactly the same for Motorcycle licenses.
