Hi i am new here and our family hope to move to NZ.
My wife is the principle applicant as she currently has a more skilled job than i do and her degree is on the accepted list of UK institutions where as my qualification would need assessing. Our points seem to be.

Age 25 points
Bachelors degree in art & textiles 50 points
Partner qualifications (me) graduate
and post graduate Homeopathy diplomas 20 points
10 years work experience as Admin Officer
in civil service 30 points
Total 125 points
Our worry is that my wifes current job as civil servant is nothing to do with her degree and whether or not its classed as being skilled enough, in the skills list we feel it may come under "special interest Administrator.
Any guidance or advice on this would be much appreciated as the EOI form is complete but not sent yet.

if your wife's degree is not related to her current work you cannot claim the extra points for this - you will get points for the degree and for work experience but not the two together, the degree will still have to be assessed by the nzqa - http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/for-international/qual-eval/international/index.html

Civil servant does look like it's under the General Skills list but don't quote me ...
