Once your ITA has been submitted I know you get assigned a case officer and they go through the supporting documentation. Any problems with medical issues and you have to get further information. But what else is involved?

I've read something about interviews and such like. Can someone shed some light on what we can expect now our ITA is in?

We've started swotting on NZ anyway.

Hi Myrkk,

We submitted our ITA in February, had a few medical issues which needed addressing and had the interview 3 weeks ago - hopefully it won't be that long for you.

We are still waiting for the reply from NZIS but hopefully it can't be too much longer.

We searched this forum for questions and from previous lists the top 15 questions came up, it was all about where we planned on living, what research we had done, what had we done to look for a job, what if we couldn't get a job in our chosen field etc...

it was very straight forward.

hope this helps

Yes, that's about the size of it. All docs checked that they are complete and properly support your application. Once that is OK, an interview will be arranged (nothing to worry too much about, just don't panic and be prepared - you will have warning).

That's really it, just lot's of frustration and waiting in between.

I'm sure I read somewhere that if you have a job offer you don't need an interview. Is this right?

Think you might be right. We didn't have an offer, so can't be certain.

Either way, the interview is nothing to worry too much about.
