Hi, Kind of new to the forum - so apologies if these questions and situations have been covered before. My girlfriend and i have decided to give the whole NZ thing a go and see what its like. I'm a 27 year old electrician and have already had a working holiday visa (allthough due to circumstances didn't make it to NZ at that point) So am currently filling out an EOI:uhoh for a skilled migrant visa. My GF who is a sports and massage therapist is unsure whether it would be possible to go over on an independant skilled migrant visa so is looking to go on a 2 year working holiday... with progression onto residency (perhaps i may be looking a little far into the future) Having also studied physiotherapy for 1 year at Uni, she was wondering if it's possible to carry on at an NZ uni?
For myself, if anyone knows how easy it is for an electrician to find work, if it's necessary to gain an NZ electricians licence, and if it's really possible to gain the visa without an offer of employment!!
If anyone has any views or guidance, they would be greatly appreciated. Even if anyone knows if this is the best way to go about it, i did see something called BUNAC bun not entirely sure what that is! Phew..(sorry about the long post:) :)
Cheers! Tim
