Hi there, I have a phone interview tonight. Just wondered if anyone knows what sort of questions they will be asking

They might ask about cultural safety and the Treaty of Waitangi. A quick look at this might not be a waste of time. They're most likely to ask you when you can get here though!

Thank you for your help, greatly appreciated. They asked me to have some questions is this for subjects such as visa'a etc

I had a face to face interview last week usual stuff they ask in uk teaching patients, seeing a senior nurse doing something wrong what would you do what to do if a patient suddenly becomes ill practice development etc
They didnt ask anything on the treaty but i read up just in case i managed to include knowledge in awnsers

Hi Karen, thanks for that. Hoping to work round about the Hawkes Bay or Tauranga area. Just starting the whole process so finding everything a bit confusing at the min

I too had a phone interview and as Karen said they ask the usual questions you would get in the UK. They ask about team work, educating patients and, as Karen said, what would you do if you saw a senior colleague doing something wrong. They never asked about the Treaty of Waitangi but they did ask about my experience with other cultures.
Questions I asked were about the hospital, wards, hours, progression, training & induction period. They must have been impressed 'cos I got the job.
