Hi all,
We are moving from Sydney to Auckland in the next few months on an internal company transfer. We will be a family of 4 - me, spouse, 3 yr old and a newborn. The package given by the company is good and it includes a NET housing weekly allowance of $600 + $95 utilities (company pays directly to the landlord, thereby reducing tax liabilities for me).
I would love to live in a house with a garden/yard for the kids to play in; my wife's main concern is safety, given we had an attempted break-in in Sydney.
My office is downtown AKL and I am looking to rent for the length of the 1~1.5 year contract only. Where would you recommend I start my search? All the familiar websites have been visited by at this stage I am still unfamiliar with the characteristics of the suburbs.
