Our offer has been accepted on our first NZ house, in fact the first house Keith & I have bought together.
We're buying a brand new home in Upper Hutt, Wellington a place called Riverstone, which is a new development.
I don't have any pictures cos it's not finished yet, another few weeks. We can't wait to have a home here.
We are glad that we waited a few months before buying a place because we could so easily have purchased in a not so nice neighbourhood, without knowing, at least the last 8 months has given us chance to have a good look around and get to know places and also get to know prices as it would be so easy to pay over the odds,
We looked at quite a few houses in many areas and decided to go for a new build to go with our new life in New Zealand...
We're very excited about it and can't wait to move in.

Congrats on your impending purchase (turns green with envy)
Visited that area about 2 years ago on holiday here , which incidently confirmed our decision to make the move.

Well done Keith & Debbie. You were wise to take your time sussing out areas. It can be easy to fall in love with a beautiful area without realising that the facade covers something else. Please keep us posted. Ooh it's like being a kid at xmas all over again innit?!!!

just a pity riverstone has ZERO television reception and ZERO broadband. So you have to fit SKY tv and use vodafone 3g if you want internet
