Hi Folks
We have just started the process of moving to NZ ( we hope ) Kathy is a Primary teacher teaching in Cheshire, and she is going to be the main visa holder.
Lots and lots of papers have gone off to the agents to get her teaching qualifications accepted.
I`m going to be a kept man, after all someone has to look after the barbie.
We have two teenagers Jenny just 18 and Simon just 16.
If all goes well we hope to be there about this time next year. We have to wait for Jennys A levels etc and Kathy to finish her school year. Plus of course a job offer in NZ.

Hi Carey,
Kathy has 2/3`s this year. last year she had 5/6`s. I think she actualy prefered the older kids. I`m doing the computer thing as she, guess what, is planning.
as she walked out of the door at school this evening the deputy said " can I have next weeks planning in on Monday " Her parents are coming up from Devon for a few days tomorrow. So all the planning has to be done tonight.
We are aiming for wherever she can get a job with a preference of Hawkes Bay area. I have a long standing buddy living there.

Welcome indeed to another Cheshirite.
I was born and bred in Tarporley. Schooled at Tarporley Primary, Tarporley High and Helsby High, so know the general area of central Cheshire very well indeed. My mum and Dad still live in Delamere.
I do hope you're Chester City supporters. If not shame on you !!!!!
Go the Blues. Long way for a ome match from here though (or an away game for that matter!) :(

I am from New Brighton and Kathy is from Totnes in Devon.
We are Pompey supporters ( lived down there for many years )
Unfortunatly Iam working an evening shift on the 3rd Nov which is a shame, but I`m sure there will be more opportunities

This may not be correct, not all TVs from the UK work without modification in NZ. UK is PAL I and NZ is PAL B/G.
There are other threads on here with more details.

Hi Folks
Yes, Jenny cant wait, says she will go without us if we were to change our mind. Simon is coming to. He is sixteen and laid back and will be coming, although he is not looking forward to going to High School for two years.

Hi Fred - another Cheshire-ite here, we live in Warrington.
I believe the Mascrat Manor meet-up is scheduled for the afternoon, so you might still be able to come along?
Regards,
Jane

Hi Kathy and Fred, from the replies I think most of Cheshire appears to be emigrating to NZ with you! We are just down the road in Middlewich and we leave in about 10 days. Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your plans and if you ever end up in the Wellsford (1hr North of auckland) come and see us!

Good luck for your move, you must be living on your nerves at this point. Is everything sorted ?
Go and have on last take away at that fabulous Indian by the Church
