Things have reached boiling point in our lives, my health, Dan's patience! So on friday we have booked flights, arranged shippers and are currently trying to fill our rental (looking good tho) not bad for a few days work!

I was gonna leave it till we got home but I feel I should share with my new forum family. I fully intend to check in and see what ur all up to but I physically ache for my old life so we are off.

Good luck to you all out here and those on their way.
Take care TTFN!!!

Sam and I have witnessed Amanda & Dan's ups and downs, first hand and can honestly say we think they're doing the right thing. Much as we'll miss them and we will, we know they are going for all the right reasons.

We know they have been trying to 'hang on' in order to get their IRRV in June 2008 but in all honesty we could never see them coming back (or Amanda staying in one piece for that long). The ties in the UK are just too strong for them.

So it will be with a sad heart but with lots and lots of very good wishes that we will say goodbye to them in the next week.

Good luck guys, no surprise to us as you were obviously struggling with your health, and your sanity!
But it is a pleasure to have known you. Take good care, just put it down to experience and hopefully it willl provide you with enough memories in the end to say that it was worth something.

I don't know, the things people do to avoid helping us move house, you could have waited another week :laugh

Good luck guys

Good luck with it all.

Thanks for all ur warm wishes!

Yes manchester airport arrivals lounge is gonna be pretty beautifull that day! And yes Sam dan's parents did have flights booked and paid for (somewhere around £4K) but they have now cancelled them, I said we would repay but she wont hear of it, she says its worth so much more to her to have us home.

I sure will keep u all up-dated and i will email pink piggy some happy family snaps to put on here cos I still never got the hang of it!

Just to say "good on you" for listening to your heart and doing what's right for you. Life is made up of different experiences and you've simply added to yours by experiencing life in a different part of the world.
Best of luck for a safe journey home!

Good on you Amanda :) I don't think there was any point remaining a week longer in NZ as unhappy as you were, so I'm thrilled for you that you'll be abck where you're happy VERY, VERY soon!

And yes Sam dan's parents did have flights booked and paid for (somewhere around £4K) but they have now cancelled them, I said we would repay but she wont hear of it, she says its worth so much more to her to have us home.

That's family for you :D

So pleased for you; try and do a couple of things with your family here that you will look back on fondly before you leave and don't forget to share the good feeling of being back in Blighty :cheers

Have a safe flight back, and at least you are getting over and done with, not trying to hold on for your visitors or IRRV, your sanity, relationship and family are way more important to you than that.

Good luck with the move back, and I hope it all goes as well as you expect it to.

Well what a quick week its been, stressfull and busy but still found time to have my acrylic nails re-done and some beauty treatment !!!

For those askin re the timescale, it has taken 1 whole wk there were 3 shippin companies battling over us and all ready to be in and packin within days, flights were easy to get on with emirates this time but pain in the butt is it stops to pick up in brisnane and singapore then we go onto dubia and stiop there for 2hrs then manchester. My poor wee babies ears popping and hurtin, ahhh.

Costs so far have been $10,200 for crown relocation movers, approx $6k for flights, genesis bill $426, other bills for early disconnection about $350. And the good news is thst the lettin agent I posted about has rented the property and came to the inspection today and signed the bond form so fingers crossed a cheque appears through the door in york soonish.

We are now less than 24hrs from flyin and have said almost all the goodbyes, it;s still emotional cos we have built up an NZ family in 6mths and people out here genuinley do care. We just need to tick off the hours on the flight and try to entertain ella!!

I will post again once we are back and have slept, luv to all Mr & Mrs Leach outta here xx

One last mission before you leave today - Help us cart the enormous BBQ we bought yesterday at Mitre10 Mega (well, they say 'big is better') back to Edwards towers, then you're free to go.

We're all going to miss you, but we know how much happier you'll be, so good luck, and keep in touch.

We'll sizzle a few sasuages for you if it ever stops raining.

It was a pleasure to meet you guys that day down in Pirongia, its just a shame we didn't get to see more of you guys from there on in, but hey never mind you will be always in our thoughts.

Goodbye the Leach's and good luck.
