Can anyone recommend a mortgage broker in Auckland?

We used Ian Hardie (ian.hardie@raywhite.com) but he is in Tauranga....but we live in Auckland so it didn't much matter that he was down there...though that is where our property is. I was initially referred to someone else who I didn't care for so then they sent us to Ian. I was very pleased with him. Good communication, on top of it kind of guy and I can be quite picky...if that email doesn't work let me know as I think it may have changed...

Whereabouts are you, we used a lovely lady I met in my coffee group! but I think she only covers east/south and up to city centre for her appointments?

Thanks for the quick replies!
Sal, we work in Newmarket and Ellerslie, would that count as east/south?

We used Sarah Taylor with Sovereign www.sovereign.co.nz Did a bit of tooing and froing about what documents exactly that they needed to set up the mortgage but once we got that sorted it all went smoothly. Not 100% certain where she is based (we're in Auckland) but I don't think it matter as we did everything either via phone, email or fax.

Anyone got anyone to add to this list?

Smiler - we got it with National, through their broker, 2 years ago. It wasn't an unusual rate at the time and I know a few people in the same boat as me with the 2 year fixed rate period coming to an end.
The broker told me it was a good rate at the time and that he expected rates to rise a lot but I just figured that was something he always said - that'll teach me! :(

Cheers Tia. :cheers
The lowest I've seen ATM is 8.75% with Kiwibank fixed for 5 years without haggling.
I've nearly worn this website out www.interest.co.nz (http://interest.co.nz/) :laugh

Thanks Smiler - Its a good rate but 5 years seems an awful long time in the world of finance - anyone got a crystal ball? :D
Cheers
Tia
