I've seen a few jobs advertised with 'birthday leave'. What's that all about then? Or am I just gullible and not getting a joke:confused:

Hubbys first company here gave an extra days holiday to be taken on your birthday, kinda nice huh?

Quite a few companies here do it. I loved it when I was employed as I always took my birthday off regardless. (I have an August birthday so never went to school on my birthday either.)

we get our birthday off paid thats it really just a nice gesture on the employers part as you dont get as many hols as uk:nice1

That's great!
I only had a day or half day off on a birthday in Europe, but never came along it in NZ - didn't know it existed here.
It tells you at least something about employers who do give you a day off on those days.
