Hi

I have booked a single journey to NZ on the 18th of jan despite the fact I know its ok under the WHV option (i emailed immigration). I hvae been informed that some airlines force you to buy a return ticket at the check in point, despite the fact NZ immigration don't have a problem with it.

Has anyone heared of this happening?

I am flying with Cathay Pacific.

It shouldn't be a problem - for all they know, you could be flying onto somewhere else with a different airline. They're not going to care if immigration don't.

cool thanks for the responses guys.

I phoned anyway to be 100% sure probably overdone it but there you are, I am not leaving anything to chance, and on a WHV they said it's fine. :) Little bit of saving there.
