Sorry if somebody has already asked this question.

If have been offered a permanent job wellington but we are currently in Christchurch. We doing our full medicals (x-ray, blood tests etc) in Christchurch tomorrow and they say the results come back in about 4 days.

So the question is, can I apply for our work permits here in Christchurch or must I apply in wellington, and if anybody knows what would be the turn around time for the permit.

Also would we have to go thru the whole process again (medicals, police clearance, birth certificates …) when we submit ITA hopefully before the end of the year ..

Medicals are valid for 3 months and police certificates are valid for 6 months

So if you have previously submitted these, and they are still valid then you do not have to provide new ones (they will just use the ones on record).

You will have to be quick if you want to use the same medicals.
