Hi,
What exactly is this and do I need to include it ? Won't my degree certificate be sufficient ? I don't think the UK Universities provide this information - in which case what are we supposd to do ?
cheers

Hi Dom
I applied for transcripts of qualifications through individual colleges/uni and they did provide - there was a cost of around £40 I think?? Just sent email to admin for each one and they did the rest. Hope this helps

My old Polytechinic, now a university, couldn't provide transcripts but for £5o they sent the course slyallbus. Sent all this off to NZQA plus copies of emails proving I had tried to get transcripts, and NZQA said it proved I'd done all I could. Might have got away with not bothering but didn't want to risk it.

Phone up your Uni's general office and tell them what you want (transcripts for emigration) - give them as much detail about yourself and when you were there, the course you took etc. They'll know exactly what you want and will let you know what to do from there - it costs about £10 but that varies from Uni to Uni. It's amazingly easy - as long as you didn't do a very obscure degree or your Uni went up in smoke - in which case a copy of the report in the local paper should be enough to show that there is no possible way you can get the information - but at least you tried!

Yeah I rang Leeds Met and they say they only keep Exam Transcripts for up to 5 years. They said they don't have a syllabus for the course either (it was 1990-1994) but can produce me an official letter stating this and should be able to list the modules in the course that I took. It seems that's all I can get.
There seems little point in sending the current syllabus as the course content will have varied so much.
I just hope NZQA realise that Unis don't keep course details forever and mess me about.

Similiar to Dom, I will have to approach Leeds Met, so thanks for the info. My course was about the same time soon, so looks like I'll have to get the 'can't help you' letter. However, the diploma certificate also lists the modules (though only gives a pass/fail and no hours). Hmm, hadn't really considered this little bit of hassle...

Hi all! Couple in USA going through "the" process and confused about what original documents we must bring to NZ (since we leave in 3 weeks on a visitor's visa but are continuing the PR process while there for 5 months)....does only the primary applicant need official college transcripts (it is his "high needs skills" that is getting us in? And does he also need an official copy of his college diploma or is the transcript enough? What about his high school diploma? Again he is carrying his official HS transcripts. AND what about things like original birth certificates? Marriage license? Originals are scary to carry but if we must we can go get other ones now. Any help here - what we need and do we need them for both of us (husband and wife)? Thanks much. This is a lot to remember as you all know! Cheers!

All we managed was a course syllabus and letter from Uni saying that they didn't hold records going back that far.
I thing they just want to check that the course covered what the title suggests.
