Hope somebody could help me. I am really caught in a fix as I am presently in Australia after having flown here on completing my 6 months Seasonal Work Permit in Sept 2007. I have a job offer and have submitted my General Work Permit application through an immigration consultant before coming here and the immigration dept requested me through a letter to submit my Medical Certificate (which I have managed at the last minute) and my original passport (which I could not produce as I am leaving the country). I have been advised by the Immigration Dept through earlier emails that I do not have the right to remain in NZ when my current permit expires so that's the reason for me coming to Australia. Now on further enquiring with the immigration dept they mentioned that they will not continue to process my application even if I come back to NZ. The immigration dept just seems to contradict themselves when in the first place they are asking me to leave, and on the other hand they are making life difficult for me after I have complied with their wishes. Perhaps I should have just stay put in NZ whether legally or illegally.

hiya you can reenter nz as a tourist surely. I think it would be beneficial to you to phone and try and sort it our with them, can't help with the number, otherwise see if there is a nz branch in Australia.
