I had heard rumors of a Royal Mail strike ... did it go ahead ?

Our status changed to "Decision Successful" 8 days ago on the NZIS website :clap but as yet no ITA pack has been received ...:confused:

Yes, Royal Mail were on strike from last Thursday until today - I had stuff sent from Amazon last Wednesday which only arrived today, so hopefully your pack will turn up soon.

Well The strike is over... though there is a huge backlog of mails to be sorted. They are delivering mails but you cannot post anything as they have blocked up the post boxes. In fact they just showed yesterday on the telly that some sorting offices are still closed and there maybe further wild cat strikes as in th strikes would be held unexpectedly.

My advice is that if you can contact the NZIS providing your EOI selection ref and ask them if they have sent the pack. It will be a while though. My EOI was selected in July 06 and i received my ITA pack in Nov 06. So you can imagine the time-scale. Perhaps if you think that they are sure they will send you the ITA pack in time then maybe you can ask them to keep it there and you could pick it up personally from the NZIS house, Haymarket.
