The situation is this, We received our ITA in August and had our medicals on the 28th. Unfortunately Mic had a very small amount of blood in his urine so dutifully we went to our GP and had it tested a week later. Still there so more blood tests, everything ok with those so the next step was an ultrasound which he had a couple of days ago. Next stage is a cystoscopy which can't be done until 15 Nov.
He has got a job offer which starts on 16 Jan 2008. ITA due back before 7/12/07 What can we do? Should we send ITA back and send medicals after, assuming there is nothing wrong with him? could we get a waiver? I am really fed up with the NHS.

If this carries on too long then our police certificates will be invalid too (run out at beginning of feb)

Advice please!!!:wah

Have you asked if there is any chance they, or another clinic, could do the cytoscopy privately (and quickly) for a one-off payment? Or would the cost be out of the question?

Hi mic'n'sj,

Sorry to hear of your troubles, very stressful indeed :uhoh !

If the problem is the due date for the ITA, you might consider getting in touch with your Case Officer to ask whether an extension of the due date could be a possibility ? Usually they're fairly accommodating whereever they can be.

Hopefully Debbie P.'s suggestion would be a possibility so that the timing can at least be shortened...

Regarding a Medical Waiver, this would only come into play after your ITA has been evaluated by INZ and sent on to the Medical Assessors, and they have judged the medical issue to be such that they think it would impose significant costs and/or demands on New Zealand's health services.

Question though, if the last blood tests were okay, why would he need to have an ultrasound and cystoscopy done ?

Here's hoping it'll all turn out to be a storm in a teacup, that Mic's fine and things are sorted out quickly for you...

Good luck !

Silver

So the 15/11 has arrived and poor Mic has undergone the necessary test and at this moment is feeling quite tender. However the test has finally showed that there is nothing wrong with him. So full steam ahead NZ here we come. Providing everything else goes well, of course.

We eventually requested mine and my daughters medical forms from the panel Doctors and sent out ITA on ahead without Mic's so that they wouldn't run out date wise now all we have to do is send Mic's and hopefully all the paperwork will be reunited with no hiccups. Thanks for the support!:D
