Can you claim points on EOI for a PGCE? Does it count a s a recognised post graduate qualifiacation? Can't see it on NZIM site; they state only Phd's and Masters.

What have other teachers done? Just hoping we could submit EOI without job offer but unless points for this of OH's diploma, no go...

i don't know what a PCGE is but I have a postgraduate diploma which the NZQA have assessed at level 7. you have, however to contact them separetly to the mainstream phd, masters claims ...

PGCE is Post Graduate Certificate of Education; its a 1 yr course taken after a degree, and allows you to teach.

I've already had my quals assessed and came back as Level 7 but was that for my B.Sc (which is nothing to do with teaching) or my PGCE?

So did you claim points for your post grad diploma? Was it a 1 yr course? Coz OH did a 1 yr diploma after his degree too...
