Hello all

Have just found out that I am having an interview on Thurs evening for a Pharmacy technician job at Christchurch Hospital.

Very nervous.

Anyone had any interviews for Pharmacy jobs etc etc.

Panicking now as we haven't got the house up for sale or anything yet but if successful think they would want me to start in Jan.

May sound completely bonkers now but I've turned down the interview.

We thought I hadn't been successful and are still shocked. Hubby can't really resign now until April (he is a teacher so need to resign this week for Dec).

They wanted me to start in Jan and we just felt we couldn't do it.

Anyhow after speaking to the manager he agreed but told me I would have no problem gaining employment in NZ. He wants to keep in touch and will let me know if they don't fill it. Also thinks there will be another position in a couple of months.

So we are putting house up for sale and preparing more. And will hopefully have a chance in a couple of months.

We desparately tried to think of a way to make it work but came to the conculsion that we are very early on in our emigration and that at the minute it just isn't right.

Am I crackers for turning down. We'll see.

Could they not hold the job for you? I have been offered a job as a nurse at Christchurch Hospital and they are holding it until next September.

No you're not mad. I have it in my mind that we will go in 1 year and if someone said to me ,"can you come in January?", I'm afaid i'd have to say no too.

You've proved you can get a job in NZ and I'm sure he's right........that you will have no problem securing another offer.

Have just enjoyed a weeks break in Scotland and now feel it was definately the right decision.

They have said they would be unable to hold the position which is fair enough really.

Going to get the process going and go from there.
