Can anyone already out in NZ give me any info on the above area?
John and I are looking for somewhere rural to live and this seems to fit the bill.

Anyone got any other suggestions for us?

If its possible don't make any plans on area until you get here and can see for yourself. theres loads of lovely rural places here.

Thanks very much Veronica. There is just so much to choose from we are trying to get a feel from this side of the world for potential places to explore. It will be dependant upon where we find jobs initially, but if get the vibe for somewhere in particular we'd hunt down a job in the region.

Thre's loads of fantastic places to choose from in the UK - but at ridiculous prices - in the region on NZ$1 million! for little cottages (and I do mean little)!

I know we have only been here 4 months and just got a buyer for our house in the SE, I wont say its sold because in the UK until the money is in your hand its not definate.
