I understand why the skills-shortage lists' applicants have been given extra points under the recent Enhancements, but I note that Future Growth Area applicants are not (unless NZ-educated or experienced) given such points.
Fine - NZIS has the actute current labor situation as its priority.
But has anyone had any feedback from case officers, or whatever, about whether having a Future Growth skill/experience gets any kind of thumbs-up when they're assessing your ITA or EOI? That is, it may not get extra points, but there were certainly spaces on the EOI for us to indicate that we were in one of the three FGAs.
For example, do they consider FGA folks to be, just in virute of being in an FGA, a few steps along the path to convincing them of the ready potential to get work?
Cheers,
Matt.
