Two questions:

1) If I have an unexpired prescription from an American optomitrist for glasses and contacts, can I get it filled in NZ? and
2) Does NZ have a good selection of brands of disposable contact lenses? Specifically I love O2 Optics ... would love to find them available in NZ rather than suffer through experimenting with other brands (again)

You should be able to get your script filled here and I think the range of lenses available is not nearly as great. I would stock up before you come here...especially on solution as it is very expensive.

i use OPSM online to get mine. you order online and fax them your prescription. they deliver by courier. they do sell O2 optix.

Excellent to know, thanks. I will stock up ahead of time, but it's good to know I have an option to purchase them in NZ

I've just asked the OH, as she works for an opitical company, and she's said yes and yes to both questions.

You might find on-line stores do your lenses cheaper than in store though.
