A question for those in New Zealand .....

Who have you used for your travel insurance? I've had a quick look at Columbus ans Southern Cross - Worldwide, family for 3 weeks - and its come out at $190 and $306 respectively - quite a big difference, I'll obviously have to check the small print!

Any other companies worth looking at?

I used Fly buys on our recent overseas trip, ( I think they get it through State) the price was cheaper than any of the others I looked into, the coverage was comparable, and I got Fly buys as well.

I used this site last time I went to the States. I found them by poking around on the web and they were recommended by Lonely Planet.

I'm fairly sure it was Columbus that we used in August. Much cheaper than anyone else, but still with good coverage. Not the best coverage mind, but as we weren't taking the laptop, it was fine.

Thanks guys, I've gone with Columbus, all the others were in the $300 range. Hopefully we won't have to test how good it is!
