oh what a beautiful day,
I got selected this morning
and soon we'll be coming your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still shaking, I can't beieve it happened, with only 2 draws left for us as well.
Now comes a 4 month wait to hope we filled the form out right - hope I wasn't to cheeky with work experience.

I still want to be cautious until we get approved, but also want to shout and celebrate.

Still bouncing around the room a bit - yes it is a great feeling after a long time planning/waiting.
Just checked and the selection went down to 115 points, only 447 eoi's left in the pool so it could happen again.

Congratulations Rusty:clap
I just looked and we were also selected this morning.
It’s the second time around for us, so the excitement wore off some time ago.
Our first EOI was thrown out due to reasons that NZ immigration can’t completely explain to my satisfaction (a long a painful story:( ), however the upshot of this is that I needed a job offer. Our second EOI included a job offer and was thus selected this morning.
I too still want to be cautious until we get approved, but its good news none the less.:nice1

Rusty...
I can feel you excitement, Congratulations.
To avoid more delays, please process your documents as quickly as you can. By the way, it is the only thing you can control, I am sure you will need NZQA assessment, which takes minimum 3 more months. Your case will need 3 to 4 months to be approved, so do some positive things.
In almost a month, I could hardly submit my Degree for Chinese Qualification assessment (Pre requisite for NZQA) which will take a month to come back, and then 3 more months for NZQA...
The forum friends will agree, "ITA arrives well before one prepare all the required supporting document"
Have fun..

Many congratulations Rusty! Worth waiting for .....Without trying to hijack your thread, I too have 115 points without job offer IF I can claim for a one yr post graduate certificate in education(PGCE) and I'm not usre if I can. Its been assessed as Level 7 as has my degree but can I claim twice? Anyone know? Please? Am waiting for NZIM to answer as well!

Not sure I fully understand, but I believe you can only claim for 1 qualification - please check though.

Usually you just claim points for your highest level qualification. I think degree and PGCE are in the same band, so would make no difference.

OK, today I checked the NZIS website for some info and found out we are decsision successful!!!!!!!!!!
First reaction was to turn into Robin from Batman and mutter lots of "Holy ~~!!" (use your imagination), then my stomach turned - this worried me as I have just been ill :roll , now I am kind of numb.
It is becoming real! We hadn't prepared for this as we expected to hear in 3 months (timeline 5 weeks!) so we are sort of panicking, thinking have we made the right decision, doubts, wonder and excitement. What a ride this NZ thing is!
Now, forget the dodgy belly and a few of these tonight :cheers :cheers .

And it keeps coming....
It turns out that it changed yesterday or earlier because we just watched the postman come up the road holding a big white envelope. We hoped it was the ITA and when he knocked to get the signiture he must have wondered why we were jumping about and smiling so much at him.
So, we now have an ITA.
That looks like a lot of reading though. - maybe not after the champagne tonight.
Brace yourselves for all my 'what to do in the ITA stage' questions.
Now, where is that panel doctor...

Congratulations! As others have advised, get your paperwork all ready & waiting so that when that ITA arrives, it can be sent back, complete with all the required evidence, straight away. there are some fabulous posts on this forum with great advise on what documents may be required ...& I was hoping to be able to post a few links to help you access these posts ..& I don't know how to!!! A search on 'evidence' should come up with some of the posts.
Best of luck for the next phase in the process.

OK, I know I am jumping the gun a little, but I had nowhere else to shout about this. And lets face it, this is the place where this noise will be understood best.
Just had an email from a Case Officer, Amelia Foley. - Our ITA has actually been assigned to someone after just 2 months!!!!
Off to scream a lot, followed by breaking the 'no drink in midweek' rule.
Must learn answers to interview questions now.
Would appreciate any feedback on the lovely (I hope) Amelia.

It is weird that I said that yesterday! I nearly started a thread asking if anyone had heard yet as well.
I need to jump and run a lot as I'm full of nervous energy.
