Not been on line for a few weeks due to no phone line in our flat but had a great week last week. Got a job offer, working for LeasePlan in Remuera, south Auckland. Not really were I wanted but its a job and it pays well enough.
Then got an e mail from estate agents, we have an offer on the house, which we have accepted,
Finally, I passed the driving test on Friday, (not that difficult but a success anyway).
Now at work, trying to remember what I was doing.

Good stuff big fella!
Was wondering where you were hiding.
Welcome back. Trying to survive without internet access is not fun is it?

Isn't it wonderful when things start falling into place. Well done - I'm sooo jealous.

Employed at the moment. Working for the same bloke I was working for on the Fonterra contract, but on a completely different piece of work. Different skills altogether.
Currently it's only very short term though (2 weeks to go). however, he is hoping to secure funding to keep me for at least six months.
It's a copmpletely new business venture and new piece of software and new, unique, service he is trying to develop, which is why it's a bit uncertain. He needs to know he has money coming in from somewhere before he can commit to being able to pay me.
Hope he does, I'm really enjoying this work.

Some very nice properties in Remuera, if you've got a couple of million to spare, but at least you'd save on petrol! :D
Glad you're getting everything sorted!
Cheers

Not just the petrol, also the after school care costs, and the time especially with the journey taking over 1 hour 15 mins yesterday to do 24km, I was not amused, and also late to pick the boys up.
Hoping for an earlier finish today but have a meeting 4 to 5.

Was also wondering how it was going for you guys, in the middle of the one of the nights when I've been awake, thinking endlessly about it all!
Would also love to hear how the boys have settled and how Kim's finding it now several weeks in?
Enjoy yourselves!

Wow John, brilliant news. Well done on the job and the house front. Was it a fair offer on the house? That would make our agents view that empty houses don't sell a bit of rubbish!!

Oh golly no..... I don't think their manolos would ever tread south of ellerslie....
Seriouslythough!, nice to see you getting on well, getting a job and a house sorted, so the commute sucks for now, its a foot on the NZ employment ladder and you can always change after a couple of months should the opportunity arise...
