I'm hoping this question isn't too obscure, but does anyone remember what gates they flew into from Auckland to Singapore, then out of from Singapore to London?

I'm trying to decide which transit hotel to book, its not as simple as the terminal number as the airport is very big and last time I ended up catching the skytrain from terminal 2 to terminal 1 to get to a terminal 2 gate (E something I think).

If that is always the case then in might be better to book the terminal 1 transit hotel, even though we fly into terminal 2.

If I get an answer to this I will be amazed! :D

Cheers

hmm I dont think it's possible... you don't have to take the skytrain from terminal 2 to 1 to get to terminal 2 gate E something.

If you fly using SQ, they will always use terminal 2 (at least until Terminal 3 is ready)

Anyway the gate number is not always the same...

I admit it sounds a bit odd but it was a trick that was shown to me by someone who was doing my Meet And Assist. If you look at this link:

www.changiairport.com/changiweb/export/sites/changi/en/docs_pdf/T1_T2_Flight_ConnectionInformation_07.pdf

You can see that gate E28 for instance, despite being in Terminal 2, is nearer to the Skytrain stop at Terminal 1, rather than the skytrain stop at Terminal 2.

You don't need to get the skytrain but as I was travelling with bags, buggy and baby she suggested it was easier than walking.

Hope that makes sense!
